Fontijne Presses' laboratory platen presses are used in the polymer processing, rubber, and composites industry. The presses are utilized as sample preparation equipment and small production processes for quality control, research and materials development.

The laboratory presses are available in five variants:

• LabManual series are manually operated hydraulic laboratory presses for up to 300 kN, specially designed for basic pressing.
• LabTop series are benchtop automated hydraulic laboratory presses with a press range of 150 or 300 kN, recommended for demanding quality control and R&D applications.
• LabEcon series offers high quality at a good price for easy, automated pressing.
• LabVac is a series of laboratory platen presses that can create a vacuum condition inside the press chamber, which can prevent oxidation or contamination of the material by oxygen or other gases.

Elastocon develops, manufactures and sells instruments for testing of rubber and plastic materials.
