Weathering and corrosion accessories and services from Q-Lab
Elastocon offers different types of accessories for Q-Lab's equipment and services in weathering and corrosion testing. Q-PANEL standard test substrates for paints, plating, adhesives, sealants, rust inhibitors and other coatings is one example. UV lamps and optical filters for QUV and xenon arc lamps for the Q-SUN are other examples, as well as calibration equipment for temperature sensors and the SOLAR EYE irradiance control system.
Q-PANEL steel and aluminum test substrates have been recognized as the world standard for a consistent and uniform test surface for paints, plating, adhesives, sealants, rust inhibitors and other coatings.
Q-Lab supplies the highest quality UV fluorescent lamps available. The technology behind the lamps produces a spectrum that is inherently stable throughout their use.
The Q-SUN testers’ xenon arc lamps produce the most realistic reproduction of full spectrum sunlight including ultraviolet, visible light and infrared radiation. For many materials, exposure to the full spectrum is necessary to provide an accurate simulation, especially when testing for color change and lightfastness.
Q-Lab offers water-cooled replacement lamps and optical filters for use in Atlas Weather-Ometer® models Ci35, Ci35A, Ci65, Ci65A, Ci4000, Ci5000, and SUNTEST CPS and CPS+.

The universal calibrator system (UC) is a revolutionary, handheld device for calibrating temperature and irradiance across all Q-Lab weathering chambers. It utilizes inexpensive, modular, and disposable “smart sensors” to simplify calibrations and dramatically lower operating costs over competing approaches.
Elastocon performs calibration and service of Q‑Lab's weathering, light stability, and corrosion testing equipment in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Elastocon offers a full range of contract laboratory testing services in Q-Lab's fully-equipped laboratories in Germany, for those who are interested in accelerated weathering, light stability, and corrosion testing but are not yet ready to purchase QUV, Q-SUN, or Q-FOG test equipment.
