Bareiss hardness tester for Pusey & Jones

The Pusey & Jones hardness tester is used for hardness determination on rubber- and rubberlike materials; e.g. rubber rollers of the paper industry. Minimum material thickness of 13 mm.

The electronic dial gauge shows the penetration depth directly in 0.00 mm units and is equipped with a zero setting option. This has the advantage that the display of the dial gauge can be set to zero by pressing a button as soon as the indenter with measuring rod is raised by approx. 3 mm by lowering the measuring device body.

Through an integrated vertical shaft on the back of the hardness meter, the gauge can be lifted or lowered with care. By lowering the vertical lever to the weight, a total weight / load of 9.8 N can be applied. The measurement result is read after 60 seconds.
