Nick Cutter, EP 07

The EP 07 nick cutter makes the nick in test specimens for tear testing. It is available in three different configurations: for ISO 34 die B, ISO 34 die C and ASTM D624 die B.

To have absolute control over the nick we recommend to do the nick after cutting the sample.

Options and depth of nick

  • EP 07 ISO 34-B – Nick cutter for 1 mm depth nick according to ISO 34 type B, blade holder is included.
  • EP 07 ISO 34-C – Nick cutter for 1 mm depth nick according to ISO 34 type C, blade holder is included.
  • EP 07 ASTMD624-B – Nick cutter for 0.5 mm depth nick according to ASTM D624-B, blade holder is included.

Spare Parts/accessories

  • EP 07.01 – set of 10 spare blades of special steel, with a special sharpening compared to standardized blades on the market
  • EP 07.02 – extra blade holder, for ISO 34-C, 1 mm
  • EP 07.03 – extra blade holder, for ASTM D624B, 0,5 mm
  • EP 07.04 – extra blade holder, for ISO 34-B, 1 mm
